カーター・ファミリーの "Keep On the Sunny Side" は1928年5月9日にリリースされた。エイダ・ブレンクホーン（1858–1927）作詞、J・ハワード・エントワイル（1866–1903）作曲のこの歌は、人生は暗く苦しい面と明るく陽が差す面もあるが、いつでも陽の当たるところにいようと呼びかけている。
